Divorce And Separation

The Founders

Splitsvil Founders Robin Smith and Heather Egan

Robin Smith and Heather Egan are co-Founders of Splitsvil.net.

Robin and Heather are two women who have been in Splitsvil with little more than the clothes on our backs, trying to find resources to help us start-over.

Simply put, over two-decades ago, we both found ourselves getting divorced. With two children each to raise and limited means, we looked for resources to assist in our new journey. Unfortunately, the result of that search, was very little compassionate care. Further, we found ourselves with half the normal household necessities, especially tough with raising children!

The idea of Splitsvil emerged; however, at the time, the beginning stages of the internet and digital techniques were inadequate to reach this segment of the population (divorcees, newly separated, or recently uncoupled), Splitsvil came to a stand-still.

Now, over 20-years later, we are proud to launch Splitsvil.net – an online ecosystem for consumers who are getting a divorce or uncoupling (splitting up an unmarried household.)  We provide content, compassion, community, and a gift registry so that your friends and family can help replace some of the things lost during a split. Spiltsvil is interactive and engages visitors so they can share information with each other and build a support system with friends, family and new contacts that are in a similar situation.

We are not attorneys nor provide any legal advice. Rather, we provide educational material and ideas that assist divorcees, newly separated or recently uncoupled individuals to help cope with their current situation as well as bounce back!
